Dr. Jon Katzman, DVM

Dr Jon Katzman was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he grew up playing a variety of sports as well as riding and competing on horses in the sport of reining. He attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2016. From there, he eagerly moved to B.C to enjoy the warmer weather and to do more hiking, skiing and train for triathlons outside year-round.

First, he landed in Duncan and stayed at Prevost vet clinic for 2 years. Since then, he has practiced in Victoria, BC and Melbourne, Australia. While in Australia, he worked at a large referral clinic and found great opportunities to learn and expand his skillset. During this time, he studied and achieved membership in Emergency and Critical Care which greatly helped improve his clinical knowledge. Jon thrives on complex case management and strongly values client communication in order to help achieve the best outcomes for the patient and client.

He has worked at a variety of emergency clinics between Canada and Australia and is looking forward to joining the team at WAVES.

In his free time, Jon loves hiking, climbing, gymnastics, horseback riding, catching up with friends and spending time with his fiancé Michael and their cat Ian.
