Dr. Luke Winter, DVM

Dr. Luke Winter was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa before making his way to Canada. Dr. Winter received his Veterinary degree at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. An avid traveller and animal lover, it was only fitting for Dr. Winter to spend 2 years prior to obtaining his veterinary degree working at animal rescues in South Africa, Cameroon, India, and Thailand. Alongside working as one of our ER Doctors at WAVES, Dr. Winter is doing an internship in Internal Medicine. His academic interests include ultrasonography, internal medicine, and radiology.

In his spare time, he can be found enjoying time with his family, his dogs (Jocko and Roo) and his particularly mischievous cat (Hobbes).
