Born and raised on Vancouver Island, I love to spend my free time exploring, hiking with my dogs, paddle boarding on the lake and reading. I received my Medical Office Assistant diploma in 2017 from Camosun College and spent a few years working in human medicine; I transitioned to Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and have loved every minute of it. I spent the first 2 months working in Emergency Care, then transferred to Internal Medicine where I found my “home base”. I love working in Internal Medicine because not only does it give me the opportunity to really develop a relationship with a pet and their owners through recheck appointments, I also get to participate in fun and intricate procedures and truly get to see the difference we make in our patient’s lives.
